The Start but Not the Beginning
After two years, which seemed to have blown past, we are slowly beginning to see some fruits to our labor.
Isla de Cambia, the first of our series of murder mysteries starring a hearing imparied AI Technician, isn't nearing to a close, not by a long shot, but it is beginning to firm up.
The island is huge and this has created many opportunities (you may know them as "OMG, we're are so dead!") to the point that FPS (frames per second) is awful.
We're having so much fun! Seriously!
It's been a long stretch -- building a mansion from scratch has been far more challenging than one might imagine (especially when you put it in the game engine and it looks like a dinky little house!) It has been reimagined and redesigned twice.
There has been a lot of learning, foul words, and more videos (please, stop telling us how to use shortcuts in Unreal!) than you can imagine.
But, at the end of the day (you may know it as night) we have been quite happy building this alternative world.
PS We realizd what's wrong the the FPS.
